Recently Support Staff and 50 Early Childhood Development students at the False Bay Colleges Have been trained to do vision screening and how to identify common eye conditions and what should be done if these conditions are identified by Jonga Trust eye care staff. This was supported by The Lions Club Tokai.

Training has also been given to the Early Childhood Development students at the False Bay College Mitchells Plain Campus by Jonga Staff eye care personnel Di Powell voluntary project manager third from left behind and first left behind Eubertina Mapebeni carried out the eye vision training.

The following E-Mail was received by Jonga Trust following doing the training:

Dear Di

I would just like to express my thanks for the training which was presented to the ECD level 4 and 5 students at the Mitchell’s plain campus. The students had nothing but praise for the knowledge that they were empowered with.

They were also very grateful for the ‘tools’ given to them which could be used to do some kind of testing.

Please express my thanks to the lady and gentleman who assisted you as well.

Regards,
Jill Davids (Education Specialist) (PL2)
